I am the beginning of the flight...

There's a scene in the movie Finding Forrester where William has his groceries and shopping delivered to his home and Jamal is there. He opens a pair of socks and flips them inside out before putting them on. So Jamal asks why he is doing that and WIlliam replies, "Socks are poorly engineered, the seams are built on the inside...hurts the toes." I never really got that feeling from my socks until the last year or so...especially w/ my cotton socks. Most of my athletic socks are the newer type, non-cotton and non-seamed. But my cotton ones, they're still the same. So I put on a pair of tube socks today and realized man, the seams are really big on these...and when I put on my shoes, they were really pushing against the top of my toes, so I had to kinda rearrange it so the seams were under my toes, but it was still a little painful, but more uncomfortable. It felt like there was something in my shoe...well, there WAS, but like something else, like when a rock or something is in there. So I can't wait til this frickin work day is over so I can take these dang shoes and socks off and wear my tsinelas on my way home. And I will for now on be looking for cotton socks or tube socks w/o seams. I just wonder why I haven't felt this uncomfortable before, maybe it's the shoes...nonetheless, I'd like to avoid even the possiblity.

Had coffee w/ Jos last night for the first time ever...just me and her. It was really cool. We usually do our heart-to-hearts either on the phone, or when we're both chillin and have time to kill at the parentals' house, but that doesn't happen too often. I really admire my sister. She irritates the crap out of me sometimes, and she can be a little mean, but she is one of the strongest people I know. I just wish she knew that.

Healthier fats - Monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. These are found in certain oils (olive, peanut, canola), many nuts, some seeds, and avocados.
Less desirable fats - Saturated fats and trans fats
Saturated fats are found in foods like bacon, butter, full-fat cream cheese, and sour cream. Trans fats are found in many packaged baked goods (cookies, crackers), margarine and shortening.

So watch what you eat!
